Zaid A. Hassan is a Creative Executive, Film Director, and Producer born and raised in the Bay Area and currently based in Los Angeles. He graduated from USC, where he studied Film Production at the School of Cinematic Arts.

As a first-generation Muslim Pakistani American, Zaid's unique cultural background has played a significant role in shaping his artistic vision. He takes immense pride in infusing his work with undertones of Islamic and South Asian influences.

At USC, Zaid was honored with the Islamic Scholars Fund Film Scholarship, a testament to his dedication to furthering Muslim stories within the film industry. He was also selected as one of four directors to create a thesis film at USC. With this selection, Zaid went on to direct the first Muslim South Asian thesis film fully funded by USC, titled “Sultana”. Sultana has been licensed and is streaming on Kanopy.

Zaid is currently working at Partners in Kind Productions, where he supports the creation of films for social change. At Partners in Kind, he works directly on developing projects, relationships, and the creative vision for the company.

Zaid also works as Creative Director at Omar's Dream Foundation, founded by Zaid's family in honor of his late brother Omar to help children with cancer have access to education. He believes that everyone, no matter the circumstance, should be able to chase their dreams.
